An owner-operated investment holding company, Ridge Road buys and builds small and mid-sized companies on a global scale. Along with fellow partners Brian and Michael, Adam has honed the group’s reputation for combining investing acumen with operational experience, perfecting Ridge Road’s “own-it-forever” approach to business development.

Adam Jiwan’s transcontinental career began at Goldman Sachs and The Blackstone Group, after which he joined Soros Fund Management. At Soros, he reported directly to the Chief Investment Officer and drove distressed debt, global special situation and risk arbitrage investments. From 2006-2012, Adam was a Partner at TPG-Axon Capital Management, where he served as CEO of TPG-Axon in Europe and co-CEO in Asia, playing a key role in developing the global presence of the 16 billion dollar global hedge fund. Having invested in businesses in over 30 countries and with experience managing investment teams on-site in New York, London and Hong Kong, Adam brings to Ridge Road an extraordinary background and depth of knowledge in global investing.

Adam Jiwan’s great passion sits at the intersection of entrepreneurship and investing, where capital and sweat combine to create meaningful value.

He is a founder, founding board member and/or seed investor of a number of successful companies, including Avant Inc, which in 2015 was ranked by Forbes as the sixth-most promising company in America; Future Finance Loan Corporation, Europe’s leading student finance company; TSX-listed Alignvest Acquisition Corporation; Rebel Tecnologia, a Brazilian consumer finance platform; Climb Credit Inc, a New York-based education finance platform; and Arkera, a London-based wealth management AI software platform. Adam currently serves as the co-Chairman of TrialWorks, a leading legal industry SaaS business, as well as Chairman of Future Finance Loan Corporation. He also serves as a Director of Avant Inc. and Alignvest Acquisition Corporation.

Outside of work

Adam earned his undergraduate degree from Harvard College where he remains co-chair of the 2001 class’ gift and leadership committees.
